Philip La Crue Legacy

Philip La Crue was an Evangelist who brought over 48 years of ministry experience to the pulpit.  He was one of the most accomplished Evangelists ministering today.  God used his ministry powerfully and dynamically to touch the lives of many people throughout the country and around the world. 

Before Philip came to Christ, he was involved in drugs and gang violence.  For over six years he was addicted to drugs however, Philip had a praying mother!  Due to her fervent and faithful prayers, Philip gave his heart and life to Jesus Christ in May of 1971.

Following his conversion, he entered the Victory Outreach Men’s Home and began attending Victory Outreach Church.  There Philip began to grow under the leadership of Rev. Sonny Arguinzoni Sr. who is the founder and President of Victory Outreach International.

Philip attended Latin American Bible College in La Puente, CA.  While in school, God began to open doors for Philip to preach and share his testimony.  At the same time, he began working closely with Pastor Sonny Sr.  Philip was involved in evangelism, teaching, promoting, and planning large citywide crusades for Victory Outreach.  In 1978, he served as National Crusade Director for Evangelist Nicky Cruz.

Philip was one of the pioneers of Victory Outreach International.  In 1974, Philip was sent to pastor the very first church that Pastor Sonny launched out of his ministry.  Philip was also married that same year to his wife, Cindy.

Over the years Philip continued to travel extensively, ministering in various cities throughout the United States, Europe, South America, Asia, India, and Africa.  He pastored two churches and was very instrumental in pioneering a number of the churches as well. He also hosted a T.V. program and he was on the radio for several years.  Philip brought a wealth of ministry experience with him wherever he traveled. 

From 2006 to 2015, he was the Executive Director for Victory Outreach Christian Recovery Homes. Philip had a heartbeat for the recovery homes and the local church.  He was most sensitive to Pastors and their needs.  He trained and discipled other young Evangelists and Pastors.  His messages were timely and prophetic and God used Philip to pray for the sick.  Many people have been seriously ill-received healing from God through Philip’s ministry.

He and Cindy were married for close to 47 years, they have three children, Philip Jr, Marie, and Juliet, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. They have also been faithful members of Victory Outreach Church in Chino under the Pastoral leadership of Rev. Sonny Arguinzoni Jr., who is the current Senior Pastor.  Philip’s ministry was for both young and old and his sincere desire was to see souls saved, the Body of Christ edified, and the local church established.
